FAR CRY 3 BLOOD DRAGON“From the toxic ashes of vietnam war two…”

I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of videogames. I never really understood why people spend time and money on these things. BUT I have to say, I really like the look of FARCRY 3-BLOOD DRAGON. I just saw the cartoon trailer and I think it’s a brilliant idea. The whole 1980′s VHS look of the thing is just too cool. I would like to see the cartoon for real actually. Since I’m not going to play the game for very long. I espacially like the predator-handshake-refernce in the trailer. I wasn’t alive back then, but I’m sure that’s what the 80s were like :D I would really like to see a live action movie in this style with the same plot.

Apes are fascinating creatures. And soon I want to go to the zoo to draw and photograph some of them life. I drew this one at home while watching a documentary about gorillas. But SOOON I’ll got to the zoo to draw there again. I haven’t done this in years and I can really recomment it. When you try to draw an animal an it’s constantly moving it really helps you (yes it helps you… keep reading and doubt me later) to capture the basic body form and way of movement. Do your animal sketches fast fast fast. If you have pets, draw your pets. Try it :) It’s fun.

Salvador Dali is one of the coolest painters.. no artists of all time. He’s badass. So I had to scribble some Dalis the other day :) I think buy know you can see that my way of drawing allways has something… cartoony? about it. I don’t know why. Some people have told me that it is just my style. So I just go with it.

Yeah…. so this is a page with …. a turtle with trees on it. Either it is a huge turtle or those tress are bonsai trees… I’m not gonna tell you. And then there are two robots. And a Ninja Mummy. And also a bird. I don’t know what to say… my mind made this up.

Iron Man is one of my all time favorite super heroes, if not my favorite one. So sketching him was the obvios thing to do when I found myself with a pencil and a piece of paper one day. I coloroized it using watercolor pencils. Love those.
